SCHOOL HISTORY
South Hills High School opened August 10, 1998 as a freshman only campus with approximately 400 students. One class was added during the next three years making the class of 2002 the first to graduate from SHHS.
Fort Worth ISD purchased the original land and buildings from Trinity Valley School, a private school. With the student population increasing each year, approximately 50 portables served as classrooms until the 2000 bond election allowed SHHS to expand to its present size. The two story "G" Building was added which included the large auditorium, band and choir rooms, the main office, and 33 classrooms.
